Welcome back to another episode, I’m Dana Ward.

So it’s not news that A-I might be dropping original judge, Paula Abdul. It’s been a rumor since rookie panelist Kara Dioguardi joined the reality show in its 8th season. These two – alongside Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson – have been working together on American Idol for an entire season, but the gossip that Abdul might be axed hasn’t gone away. In fact, it hit a super sour note recently, when Paula’s manager announced that he still had not received a new contract proposal from show producers, even with the 9th season auditions starting within a month.

Head-honcho Simon Cowell did release a statement hinting – not guaranteeing, however – that PA will indeed be back for another go. Until then, fans continue to cheer on the return of Paula, most notably via Twitter. In the days after the manager said no contract had been signed for next season, Twitters went crazy and a KEEP PAULA movement swept the social website.

    Nope, sorry dudes …
    Nope, sorry dudes but w/out Paula sitting next to Simon, It is just NOT worth my while. They can bring in the Queen Or King of England, but that will still never make me watch. I NEED my Paula & Simon TOGETHER, & w/out them together, It is just a show that will NEVER be watched by me ever again.

    …beat it!!!! u know, i agree with y’all….sometimes it’s not just about the good nd funny auditioners that make this show d best,but it’s also the cat&dog fights of the judges: simon the ‘devil’ randy the ‘middle man’ and paula the ‘angel’…hell,heaven nd earth…jajaja

    paula was a great …
    paula was a great judge. but i really think it’d be kewl to see a new face come in to judge. its time for a little change on the show. just to make it interesting. if she doesnt wanna come back to judge she doesn’t have to. its already been 8 seasons and she has a career she wants to continue. she’s working on a new album, let her do what she’s been doing for years.
