Please help me with my Math review…?

A producer of packaged frozen meat wants to market mixed meat at $115.00/kg. How many kilograms of pork meat worth $120.00 must be mixed with 20 kg. of chicken meat worth $100.00/kg. and 5 kg. of beef meat worth $160.00/kg. to produce a satisfactory mixture?

let P = weight of the pork

115 = total cost of the meat mix / total weight of the meat mix

total cost = 120 + 20(100) + 5(160)
total weight = P + 20 + 5

therefore,

120 + 20(100) + 5(160)
——————————— = 115
…..P + 20 + 5

then solve for P which is a simple exercise for you.
