Are those producers or consumers?
December 18th, 2010 | by admin |Hey everyone! I’m doing my biology homework and there is a question that asks which are consumers and which are producers and there is a list given.
milk (cow)
eggs (chicken)
pork (pig)
beef ( cow)
fish
it is written exactly like that, i got mixed up, can you help please?
all these animals are consumers since they all consumers to grow and are not true autotrophs( many micro organisms).
they also qualify as producers since they are in a middle food chain.. you need to answer in context of the chapter and subject matter of you text book.

cow – consumer
chicken – consumer
pig – consumer
beef – cow
fish – consumer
None of these is a producer. Plants are the only producers since plants are the only ones capable of producing food by themselves, which is why they are also known as autotrophs. Autotrophs = self-feeding.
I hope that helps! Have a great day!
