Good post. You have two classes of people. One class feels that the authors of the Constitution were brilliant. The other class feels the Constitution is a waste. The first class believes that people have the right to pursue their dreams and aspirations. The latter class feels they also have the freedom of choice by having the government think and provide for them. Both classes vote accordingly. The report card of who’s right and who’s wrong……look at the economical condition of the nation and who has in the last 36 months contributed to it. One side pays for it, the other side always puts blame on someone else.

You neglected to mention Conservatives are the Corporate raiders who buy and break up the competition causing job losses, the creators of White collar crimes,the greatest embezzlers,powder cocaine consumers,War profiteers,corporate welfare recipients,employers of tax attorneys,and spend more money trying to rig the rules in Congress to favor them and destroyers of towns and communities of middle class working people.The greatest polluters who disappear after the damage is done leaving the taxpayer to pay for the clean up and live with the aftermath,
If you are going to enjoy that beer remember to thank the union workers who made it,delivered it and built the economy of the middle class so you aren’t working for company scrip good only at the company store. You’re welcome.

Not very accurate, devoid of actual facts but typical of conservative spin. When the conservatives you mention arrived in this country they found it populated by peaceful people and promptly went to war with them in order to steal their valuable possessions and then corralled them on reservations (concentration camps). They brought their own working class with them (slaves and indentured servants) that did all the actual work of building this great nation. Along the way, these workers learned they didn't have to live under the conditions imposed upon them by their conservative lords and masters and they revolted in the way that all freedom loving people have done over the centuries. They voted for their leaders. Unfortunately, some of these conservatives still manage to put themselves into leadership positions, usually by spending enormous amounts of money. They then go about tearing down what the freedom loving majority has worked so hard to build and when every ones well being, except for the top 1%, becomes untenable these conservatives spend even more more money trying to convince the 99% it's all their own fault. While the asker of this so called question has himself another beer, I'm going to do some serious thinking about how to rid ourselves of these people in office that have threatened to close down our government 8 times in this past year. MERRY CHRISTMAS.
