    @kscnwrc Of course. …
    @kscnwrc Of course. I’m, many of my course mates have reduced their meat intake, but is that really the point? We’re talking morals and I have shown to you that supporting animal farming is immoral.

    Your (relatively late-coming) anecdote is at best an exception, but how can I take it as anything more than hypothetical? Can I trust that your Grandad’s methods are completely harm free? How exactly does he go about severing the spine of a cow? That sounds quite difficult.

    @tommyk77 I know …
    @tommyk77 I know they dont suffer. When you sever the spinal cord, there is no way for the brain to send pain receptors to the nerves. No pain.
    And what change has your debating brought about? What does a few people abstaining from meat do to change anything? All you are accomplishing is getting people riled up enough to eat more meat just to spite you. All you do is try push people into something that goes against human nature. Are really helping your cause? Are you making any impact at all?

    @kscnwrc Are you …
    @kscnwrc Are you sure the animals don’t suffer? I doubt it. Also, I wasn’t talking about your Grandad’s farm when I pointed out your fallacy.

    Of course I’m doing more than boycotting, hence this debate! :-P

    @tommyk77 Hey, …
    @tommyk77 Hey, several people in town buy their meat from the town butcher, where do you think he gets it, my Granddad. And Its not about boycotting anything, its about making a difference. Boycotting only leads to loss of money in that industry. It is not naturalistic fallacy to say our farm animals are happy and feel no pain, or that it is natural to eat meat.
    What are you doing that is productive? Are you trying to do anything other then avoid the problem but abstaining from meat?

    @kscnwrc Good for …
    @kscnwrc Good for you. Unfortunately, we don’t all have grandfathers with farms. You still used the naturalistic fallacy though.

    I think you realise that boycotting animal farming is the best solution. You’re going in circles at this stage. Good debate. All the best

    @tommyk77 Eating …
    @tommyk77 Eating meat is as natural to us as eating plants. Have you ever watched a kid eat worms, ants, ect? I have a question for you. Are you doing anything to change the way animals are killed in slaughter houses other than tell people they shouldn’t eat meat on YouTube? Are you actually trying to make a difference? Guess what, eating the meat that comes from my Grandfather’s farm is how I make a difference. The animals we have are happy as pigs in mud, literally, and feel no pain in death.

    @kscnwrc Have you …
    @kscnwrc Have you not listened to anything I’ve said? That IS my issue. I already pointed out that the killing is not the biggest issue, it’s the treatment

    @tommyk77 Cont. it …
    @tommyk77 Cont. it should not be about to eat or not to eat, it should be about how the animals are killed in mass production. Now I will admit its not something you want to think about! When we kill our cows, we sever the spinal cord at the base of the neck, chickens we just pop their head off, pigs the same as the cows. The animals feel nothing. Why isnt this what you are trying to change? Something people actually might be receptive to. People are going to fight to keep meat, and hard!

    @kscnwrc Well, …
    @kscnwrc Well, let’s assume you are right that pills can sustain us. If that was true, they would still be derived from plants, surely. Even if they weren’t you still have not made an argument for your case for eating meat. You’ve just made a red herring

  13. By kscnwrc on Jun 23, 2010 | Reply

    @tommyk77 Lets take …
    @tommyk77 Lets take a logical look at this.Your argument is you can take pills to supplement dietary needs not met by eating meat. Or you can eat nuts and beans, which have a high calorie count. So with the nuts and beans you would have to cut out other parts. So you either take pills to supplement meat or plant nutrient needs. My argument, who wants to take more pills then they have to, other than my crazy sis-in-law. So, if we can live on just pills, why wouldn’t we and save so much farm land?

    well there’s more …
    well there’s more people then animals in the world and humans love to FART. so whats next, reducing the population? its all bullshit or should i say COW shit. global warming is a normal process but there is a possibility that maybe we are getting cooked from the sun because of a thinning atmosphere? who knows

    @tommyk77 Wanna bet …
    @tommyk77 Wanna bet? My sister-in-law does, so does her family. They drink water, the powder stuff you put in water and take herbal life pills. They get all their vitamins, minerals, and even calories from pills and water! Yes you can survive on pills and water. So well all do that? Wouldn’t that be even better then waisting all that farming land and orchards, and while we are at it why dont we move EVERYONE to the USA. Pills and water for all!
    Everyone has killed something! Ever raped someone?

    @kscnwrc We can’t …
    @kscnwrc We can’t live on water and pills. Don’t be stupid.

    Cruel is feeding animals 20 times the amount of protein you get out of their meat when the same food and land could be used for starving humans. Cruel is letting animals be kept in poor conditions, branding them, scaring them during transportation and cutting their throats as they hang from one leg.

    Killing is natural, but you ignore that it’s unnecessary. Rape is natural too, you know.

  21. By kscnwrc on Jun 23, 2010 | Reply

    @tommyk77 Yeah you …
    @tommyk77 Yeah you can live on water and pills. Your body does not “require” plants. What is cruel? Killing? Death is not cruel. It IS the most natural thing in the in the world, right next to breathing. Cruel would be cutting off a chunk of meat when you felt like it and leaving the animal to suffer. Cruel is sticking someone in a nursing home. Cruel is eating in front of someone fasting for surgery. Cruel is beating a child within an inch of it little life. Killing for food is NOT cruel!

    @satvapuri My son would eat a worm over a apple, carrot, grapes, pears, ect. The same way with frog leg, chicken, crawl dads, and sausage and the list goes on and on. My 4 year old doesnt even have a problem with plucking a chicken! I did notice you picked something sweet and cuddly to make your point but the simple fact is rabbit is GOOD! And trust me my 4 year old will tell you so!

    @neverdiephoenix I …
    @neverdiephoenix I lived on a farm for the first 17 years of my life. I still work it. Veggies, fruits and animals. Yes it is pleasurable to eat. Eating is not just about the pleasure factor. Yeah, a lot of Americans engage in that, but instead of teaching vegetarianism you should teach moderation! Excess is the problem with Americans, not the eating of meat in general. People just dont understand moderation. It should be practiced in both meat and plant consumption

    @neverdiephoenix If your so concerned about future generations try teaching people moderation. Not just in meat, but in plant, money, sun, fun, work and everything else. Trust me I respect animals more than you know. But I do know some are here to eat, some to work and some to just be enjoyed.

    @neverdiephoenix …
    @neverdiephoenix Causing cancer, diabetes, ect? It is not meat that is doing that. You absolutely can not get cancer unless you have the specific gene for that type of cancer. You know eating carrots and bananas are not recommended for diabetics? Plants can be bad for you too. It is the excess of anything that is bad for you. Our teeth are proof we are to eat both plant and animal. Sharp in the front for tearing and ripping meat, flat in the back for grinding plant.
