June J. gets up every morning getting herself and her kids ready for school. 5:45 seems to come earlier and earlier every day. Her job is as a teacher in an elementary school in Seattle. Sleep in America conducts polls on behalf of the National Sleep Foundation and throughout the last few years, those polls show that American sleep habits are in a state of decline. The poll discovered that about one in five Americans sleep less than 6 hours per night on average. The poll also discovered that there is a decline of Americans that sleep for eight hours or more.
