NATURE “Holy Cow” | Green Beef Catches On | PBS

March 9th, 2010 | by admin |

Watch NATURE Sunday, August 12 at 8 p.m. (ET) on PBS (check local listings) for an encore presentation of HOLY COW.

In NATURE’s HOLY COW, viewers visit one of the leaders of the “alternative” ranching movement, Colorado’s Lasater Ranch.

There, the Lasater family is demonstrating that they can raise high quality, organic beef using methods that many experts say are friendlier to the environment — and healthier for beef eaters.

Are there marks on the beef that tell you how the beef was raised? I`d so prefer that, even if it cost a few extra bucks.
